Summary

Commonly known as “copaiba balsam”, and extracted from the wood of the Gurjun tree. Used extensively in Ayurvedic healing for centuries.

Benefits and Uses

Respiratory: Gurjun oil is known for it’s ability to break up mucous, eliminating excess mucous deposits in the body. Effective in treating asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory ailments.

Skin: When applied topically (via carrier oil), Gurjun is effective in treating skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis.

Anti-biotic: Can be used to treat urinary tract infections.

Anti-rheumatic: Gurjun is effective in treating rheumatic conditions in the body, by eliminating toxins that cause inflammation.

Caution

Never use Gurjun without first mixing it with a carrier oil, as it is very potent.
