Extracted via steam distillation from the flowers of the Neroli plant. Neroli is a member of the citrus family, and the properties of the oil are much the same as those of other citrus fruits.
Benefits and Uses
Anti-depressant: Particularly effective at fighting depression, Neroli oil is used extensively in aromatherapy techniques.
Bactericidal: Kills bacteria and keeps the body free of microbes that can cause infection. Has been shown to be effective in relieving the symptoms of food poisoning, as well as in treating cholera and typhoid.
Deodorant: Highly effective at eliminating foul odors, and can be used in place of commercial deodorants, as well as for freshening the air in your home or office.
Emollient: One of the most popular uses of Neroli oil, it keeps the skin soft and supple while maintaining a balance of oil and moisture.
Should not be used if you need to stay awake, as it has strong sedative properties.
