UBM Asia hosted the Gem & Jewelry Fair 2015 in Delhi from Sep 26th to 28th, 2015, to attract buyers from India and the adjoining countries.
Around 250 jewelry manufacturers displayed their products at over 500 booths set up at the festival. Dedicated pavilions were set up by the organizers for diamonds, gold and the various production tools used by seasoned experts.
The event was hosted at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
According to the trade fair organizer UBM Asia, the Delhi Fair attracted more than 10,000 buyers from North India and across the globe.
The B2B show was open to jewelry manufacturers, traders, government officials, dealers, and suppliers.
Yogesh Mudras, acting managing director of UBM India said the fourth edition of the Delhi Jewelry & Gem Fair will open key growth opportunities and new avenues of business expansion for the Indian Gem and Jewelry market.
The show was the perfect platform to engage and network with leading jewelry manufacturers in the country, he added.
It was supported by the India Bullion & Jewellers Association, Delhi Jewellers Association, Karol Bagh Jewellers Association, Maliwara Jewellers Association, and other leading organizations.
The B2B event also hosted a design competition, educational seminars and demonstration of live machinery.
India contributes 12 percent to jewelry sales around the world. The Northern part of the country produces all type of gemstones and jewelry from colored gemstones to Kundan Meena jewelry and diamonds. It also consumes a major part of the produce.
Delhi is the biggest consumer and a prominent player in the world market. Major diamond and gem traders including PC jeweler, Khanna jeweler Hazoorilal conduct business in this city.
