Anthemis Nobilis/Matricaria Chamomilla
Both German and Roman strands are extracted through distillation of the Camomile plant, and while they have many similar properties, there are some notable differences.
Sudorific: Produces intense sweating, to help remove toxins from the body.
Febrifuge: Helps to lower the body temperature.
Anti-septic: Inhibits the growth of bacteria by preventing infections.
Anti-biotic: Eliminates infections that are already present.
Vermifuge: Kills intestinal parasites when taken internally.
Sedative: Particularly effective in reducing irritation, stress and annoyance, especially in small children.
Anti-inflammatory: Reduces inflammation in the body, which is now known to play a key role in autoimmune disorders such as Lupus and Fibromyalgia.
There are no known contra-indications for Chamomile, other than that it is a member of the Ragweed family and may aggravate allergies.
