Extracted through steam distillation of the leaves of the Marjoram plant. Native to the Mediterranean region and known for it’s medicinal properties, Marjoram has been used for centuries.
Analgesic: Marjoram is an effective pain reliever for muscle aches and sprains, toothaches, headaches, and the pain associated with colds and flu. Unlike many of the over-the-counter medications, marjoram has no unpleasant side effects.
Anti-viral: Effective in preventing viruses including the common cold, the flu virus, measles and mumps, to name a few, and in helping to speed healing of the already contracted illness.
Bactericidal: Marjoram kills bacteria on contact, and is particularly effective as a remedy for food poisoning, typhoid and malaria.
Digestive: It’s digestive properties have been known for years, including it’s ability to stimulate the production of digestive juices and bile in the stomach, which aides in digestion.
