Aquamarine is a deeply blue-green beryl subtype with a vitreous or, much more rarely, resinous luster. With a wide range, it can be found from Sri Lanka to Pakistan in the Old World, and across the central United States and Brazil in the New World. Aquamarine is a cyclosilicate with a repeating Be3Al2(SiO3)6 structure.
